What taxes do you currently pay? Where you live, how much would you pay in taxes for a $60 item? The tax rate in my county is 8.25% for sales tax. First change the percent to a decimal. Do this by moving the decimal point two places to the left. = .0825 Multiply the decimal by the amount of the item. $60 * .0825 = $4.95 I would pay $4.95 in tax for a $60 item. This would make the total cost of the item $64.95. How would this work for you? Wondering what your tax rate is? Try finding it at: www.tax-rates.org/
